Your phone number will never be shared with the Astrologers directly – when you are contacted via phone call, it is only through our service ‘Astrologer connect’ whereby you receive a phone call from the astrologer that you have chosen to consult with, with the website as the intermediarary, so that your private phone number remains private, unknown, and unknowable to any third parties including Astrologers, and you are still able to use your phone to speak with them, as per your convenience.Additionally, you are required to provide your first name.Last name, and date of birth (DOB) are optional -these details are not mandatory to provide it during the registration process. If provided, this information will be stored and used in compliance with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and for the purposes described in this policy.

Voice Recording/Video call access and Microphone Permission

Instead of typing out your queries, you also have an option to simply speak into your device's microphone, record the voice as audio, and then send it on chat. This audio interaction feature is designed to make using our app more intuitive and in tune with natural communication.

To enable you to record your questions and thoughts in your own voice as audio, we need to request access to your device's microphone. When you grant us this permission, it allows our app to capture the sound of your voice as audio and convert it into digital data that we can process.

The recorded audio files are stored securely in compliance with our security standards and will be deleted after a reasonable period of time unless otherwise required for legal or regulatory purposes.

While Astrotalk also facilitates audio and video interactions, it is not responsible for any content, advice, or actions that occur during these sessions. Users should exercise discretion during such communications, and we recommend ensuring that no sensitive personal data is shared unless necessary. Reviews will be used by us for quality control purposes and to determine whether Customers and Service Professionals are appropriate users of the Platform. If we determine at our sole discretion that you are not an appropriate user, we reserve the right to cancel your registration and remove you from our Platform.
